With more than ten years of expertise in hospitality management, Renata joined the GQ team after earning her 2024 certification from the Southeastern Health & Wellness Institute. Originally from Chicago, Evelyn is studying biology with a minor in chemistry at the University of South Carolina, with plans to pursue a career in genetic counseling. When she’s not studying or spending time with friends, Evelyn enjoys reading, cooking, baking, sewing, and staying active. Caroline brings nearly a decade of experience to GQ, combining her Pennsylvania roots with a love for scissor cuts and a dedication to her clients. Ray brings a blend of artistry, energy, and precision to every cut. A South Carolina native and Kenneth Shuler graduate, she combines her hospitality background with a genuine passion for people. Sofia is our receptionist, and a Biological Sciences student at the University of South Carolina. She enjoys getting to know new clients, catching up with familiar faces, and seeing the confidence a great haircut can bring. Whether she’s welcoming guests or helping create a smooth experience from start to finish, Sofia is committed to making every visit to GQ a positive one. Outside of the shop, you’ll usually find her reading, traveling, cooking, or exploring her creative side through art.

Barbering runs in Rob’s family, and his love for the craft started early. Born and raised in Connecticut, he began cutting his own hair in elementary school and was cutting friends’ hair just a few years later. What started as a childhood interest became a career built around creativity, attention to detail, and a genuine love for cutting hair. Rob eventually made his way to Columbia, where he continues to enjoy helping clients look and feel their best. Outside the shop, he loves making music and spending quality time with his daughter.

A West Columbia native, Ashley is a familiar face at GQ, returning to the team with a genuine love for the people who make the shop special. She enjoys building relationships with clients, catching up with familiar faces, and being part of the energy that makes GQ such a welcoming place. Outside the shop, Ashley stays busy spending time with her three children and family. She’s also a self-proclaimed Disney adult who never misses an opportunity for a little Disney magic.

Demi has spent much of her career behind the chair, working with all hair types and mastering everything from fades and tapers to more detailed scissor cuts. She especially enjoys getting to break out her shears. Originally from California, Demi grew up in a military family and lived across several states before settling in Columbia. Outside the shop, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and checking out new restaurants, especially those with good Latin food.
